Dalby Heritage Trail: Take a pleasant walk around some of Dalby's historic buildings, homes and churches. Some of these include St John's Anglican Church established in 1866, St Joseph's Catholic Church erected in 1921, Country Club Hotel site of the Dalby Arms Hotel in 1858, The old Police Station built in the mid 1860's, Former Town Council Chambers opened 1932.

Dalby Pioneer Park Museum: Queensland’s largest pioneer machinery display. Machinery dating back to the late 1800's and many still operational.

Dalby's Thomas Jack Park: A large reserve with good stands of native trees and bushes. Wander through the extensive gardens and linger by fountains and the lily pond. Dalby visitor centre is located at the entrance to the park.

Dalby Aquatic Centre: Dalby's recently opened $4.6m aquatic centre featuring a 25 meter indoor heated pool, 50 meter outdoor pool and toddler/baby pool.

Lake Broadwater Conservation Park

Approx 20kms from Dalby. Lake Broadwater Conservation Park is perfect for bird watching and walks along the south west track. The only naturally occurring water body of this type on the Darling Downs, the lake covers approx 350ha when full.  A recreation area is situated on the lake shore with function hall, amenities and boat ramp. Great for swimming, fishing and water skiing.

Lake Broadwater is a valuable breeding ground for many species of water birds including ducks, moorhens, grebes, cormorants, darters, herons, swans, stilts, jabirus and brolgas. Just past the lake, many eastern grey kangaroos can be seen at sundown in the conservation park. Visitors to the lake are also likely to see the red necked wallaby, swamp wallaby, koala, brush-tailed possum and echidna.

 

Bunya Mountains Drive

Jimbour House: Drive through the rich black soil grain growing area of the Jimbour Plains, visit the magnificent heritage-listed Jimbour House built in 1877 and one of the earliest stations established on the Darling Downs. Visitors are welcome to tour the grounds and magnificent gardens which are open daily.

Rangemore Estate Winery: a cattle and vineyard property high in the foothills of the Bunya Mountains with expansive views of the mountains and surrounding hills. Vines of Shiraz, Verdelho, Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon and Sangiovese are hand pruned and harvested. The cellar door is open Friday – Monday.

Bunya Mountains: Experience this magnificent pristine rainforest featuring ancient bunya pines. There are 35km of walking tracks ranging from a leisurely 500 meters stroll to a 10km hike. Relax with a BBQ or picnic at the Dandabah picnic area and view the colourful King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Currawongs, not to mention the many wallabies.

Dingo Fence Jandowae: 40Klms from Dalby 'the longest fence in the world' - has its northern end near Jandowae. The fence is 5300 kilometres long and stretches to the Great Australian Bight.

Jondaryan Woolshed: 35 Klms east of Dalby the woolshed was built in 1859 was the grandest and largest woolshed in the world. The Woolshed at Jondaryan is still the largest most original of any woolshed left in Australia.
